What is the difference between Invisalign and Damon braces?

Q.
Hello, could you please tell me the difference between invisalign and damon braces? I have been shopping around for the brace best suited to my condition which is pretty bad; I have crossed front teeth and my jaw isnt aligned properly so generally i feel quite awkward when it comes to smiling etc. Any help you could give would be greatly apprieciated
A.
Hi
Invisalign are clear aligners that are worn over the teeth for 22 hours per day, that you change every two weeks that gradually guide your teeth into the correct position. Damon braces are advanced fixed braces (ie with brackets and a wire) that may be in metal or white (Damon Clear). The wire moves the teeth into the correct positions. Unfortunately without seeing you, I wouldn’t be able to recommend the ideal one for you as everyone is different.
Good luck with any treatment you choose
