Q. Having recently started my invisalign treatment I have begun to experience complications. I have an open bite which has added strain on my lips and chin because of the extra thickness of the aligners over my teeth. As a consequence I am seriously considering stopping the treatment. In your opinion is it at all possible to discontinue treatment without having to pay the remaining balance for the treatment?,
A. You would have to speak to your Invisalign dentist about this. Obviously the treatment will be quite difficult in the beginning but as your teeth become straighter and your open bite reduces, the process will get easier. Persevere if you can.
