I Have A Lot Of Pain With My Invisalign Treatment, And I Keep Taking My Aligner Out Because Of The Pain. Please Give Me Advice.

October 28th, 2013
Q.

Hi. I’ve had nothing but pain since investing in Invisalign treatment. It just won’t let up and it gets worse, every time I have a new set of aligners. My gums look very swollen. My dentist has said that this is bound to happen and I did expect some pain but it’s honestly constant. I’m not being dramatic and I’ve tried painkillers but at the moment the aligners are out more than they’re being left in. Can you please give me some advice as to what I can do? I don’t have much time left but feel the treatment hasn’t really changed my teeth because as I said, I always have to take them out. I haven’t told my orthodontist this and I don’t know what to do. Thank you for your advice in advance! I’m really hoping you can help me.

I’ve Been Considering Invisalign Treatment, Would They Be Suitable For Me?

October 21st, 2013
Q.

Hello Dr Kumar, I was recently thinking about getting Invisalign braces. However I’m unsure if they are really suitable for me, I’m asking for your help to find out if they are suitable for me. I’ll explain, I had braces over 2 years ago and my teeth are still straight but a few of my front back teeth have gaps in them as well as this my front teeth look slanted. However my teeth do not have an overbite which is good. How much would it cost to fix my teeth using Invisalign and how long would the period be for me having them in for? Thanks for taking the time to read my question.

Hi. I’m Becoming Frustrated By My Orthodontist, He Said My Invisalign Treatment Would Be Straightforward But I’ve Lost A Tooth.

October 14th, 2013
Q.

Hi. I am currently receiving Invisalign from an Invisalign preferred orthodontist, that’s why I visited him in the first place. He said that treatment would be smooth and results were going to predictable. I’m very disappointed with the treatment thus far. I have had to have a tooth removed, which he said wouldn’t be required and I’ve had several ulcers that keep coming back. Can you please advise me? Because I’m beginning to lose my rag with him. Cheers.

I’m Not Very Happy With My Invisalign Treatment, My Teeth Feel Loose And Sore, Is This Normal?

October 7th, 2013
Q.

Hello Dr Manoloutsou. I have just finished my Invisalign treatment and I’m really not happy with the results, my two front teeth that were slightly bucked feel very loose. My orthodontist has said this is normal and they’ll settle in a couple of days of wearing the retainer. I’m not convinced and the area is very painful which is making me even more skeptical. Can you advise me please? Should I seek a second opinion?
