Hello Dr Thorne, I really need your help and advice. I have lost my final Invisalign retainer, what can I do? I’m worried about what my orthodontist will think and say. Will I have to pay extra for spares? What happens If I leave it, will my teeth start to go back to their old position? Thank you, I really hope you can offer some advice and help me with this!

My Teeth Are Sliding Back Into There Original Position After Wearing Braces. What Treatment Options Should I Have?

Hi Dr Manoloutsou. I had train track braces when I was a little girl and got really bullied because of them but unfortunately they were the only ones my mum could afford. It has been about 10 years since I had them removed and I can see my teeth sliding back to their old position. I don’t want to go through wearing fixed braces again and I could just need a quick fix or a bonded retainer perhaps? Is there anything you can suggest please? Good day. I am a practising surgeon abroad. My six year old daughter lives in the West Midlands, and I am seeking assistance with her management. She has a severe class two bite, with significant overjet, with anterior proclincation of her first two incisors and is also slightly retrognathic. I would like to ask if a six year old may benefit from Invisalign during maxillary growth in her mixed dentition stage. I am seeking treatment for her case, and have cephalograms, with tracings already. I would be grateful for your advice. Thank you for your time.

I Have Suffered From Gum Disease For Some Time. I Want To Know If I’ll Be A Suitable Candidate For Invisalign?

Hello Dr Thorne. I’m a long term gum disease sufferer. I’ve managed to get it under control now with regular visits to my local dental hygienist. I am desperate for braces and was wondering if I am suitable candidate for Invisalign following gum disease? I feel it’s caused large gaps in my smile and I want to get my teeth re-aligned. I used to have such nice teeth! Any advice would really be great, I’m going to book a consultation as soon as I can get the time off from work. Thank you!
