Can I get Invisalign without the IPR procedure needing to take place?

Q. Hi, I have been looking at getting invisalign braces as i want to correct my smile but i don’t want everyone to see my braces. Thing is i was reading on the internet and some places said i would have to get my teeth shaved, IPR or something? i really don’t want to have to do this, is it possible to have invisalign without this?,
A. The IPR, if necessary, is a way to create space on very crowded arches for the teeth to align. The amount of the tooth reshaping is minimal, fractions of a millimeter, and there is no discomfort at all. However, in some cases it may be possible to avoid it. It would be better if visited in Invisalign dentist in order to advise you.
