Q. After having a consultation I was informed that I would need to have one of my front lower teeth extracted before I could get my aligners, to help with overcrowding. I can’t say I particularly like the sound of this, and am wondering if a temporary tooth or something could be used to cover the gap?
A.
Hello,
Usually you have a retainer fitted to prevent the teeth moving before your first aligner arrives back from Invisalign. This retainer could be filled up with some composite (white filling) material where you have the missing tooth. For cosmetic reasons your first Invisalign aligner could be filled up the same way.
