Is invisalign aligner cause of bleeding gums?

Q. For some reason when I took out my upper aligners this morning and brushed my teeth I saw that there was some blood. This was not the case with my lower teeth which I also wear an aligner on. I have read on the web that some other people have had this problem. What is the cause and what I can I do about it?

A. You can scratch your gums when you take them in and out.  Sometimes the gums can get inflammed and thius can cause bleeding go and see you dentist and maybe a hygienist.
