My bite feels different and I have jaw pain since beginning Invisalign treatment. Should I be worried?

Q. I just started Invisalign treatment with a new dentist having had previsou braces treatment in the past but was never completely happy. i have only been started on the treatment for four days but I am getting a very uncomfortable pain in my jaw and I can only figure that it would be linked to the invisalign. But I dont know what reason there could be for this as doesn\’t the brace just move the teeth? My bite also feels different, worse. This was never part of my treatment plan. Should I be worried or is the treatment devloping and going to end all happy and dandy?!,
A. I would not be too worried. Your bite will feel different as your teeth move but the should finish up in a better position. It may also effect your jaw too as there will be two layers of Invisalign material keeping the teeth apart for the best part of the day and all night. You should get used to the feeling of having these braces in your mouth and the discomfort should subside.
