My daughter would like Invisalign but still has baby teeth. What can be done?

Q.
Hello Dr Raj Kumar. My daughter of the young age of thirteen has two permanent teeth which currently overlap quite alot and there is an abundance of crooked and overcrowded baby teeth. She desperately wants braces but the problem is that not all of her teeth have come through so this leaves me wondering what can I actually do??? she would like them as soon as possible and is very embarrassed and ashamed of her teeth. Can you please advise on the situation?

Hello and thank you for your enquiry. Invisalign will help those with the overcrowding but the baby teeth do need to have fallen out by now otherwise this will not be possible. I would recommend that you ask an Invisalign dentist about whether or not your daughter can have an assessment for early extractions and then the possibility of Invisalign invisible braces to assist with the anterior overcrowding. Hope that is of some help. Dr R Kumar
