Q. I am having a worrying symptom where my jaw twitches for a second or two every now and then. It is not very often, and did not affect me during my initial period using invisalign braces. However, I am now four months into treatment and this has begun to happen. It is like the spasms you sometimes get in the muscles of your leg. Is there something wrong?

I really cannot explain the reason for the jaw twitches.
Do you get clicking of the jaw as well.
It might be a case of jaw joint dysfunction due to a change in your bite and jaw muscle movement.
I would advise you speak to your dentist about it.
