I finished my invisalign treatment and even the refinements afterwards but now my dentist is telling me that I will need to have more invisalign treatment before getting final retainers to adjust the bite and make it perfect. I had never heard of this as part of treatment before – is this normal?
A. Hello,
Without an examination it is quite difficult to tell. If your dentist thinks it would be better to do some extra treatment he might be right. In rare cases we even have to use fixed appiliance to do some extra refinement. However if you think you are happy with the result and it feels comfortable , you should express this to your doctor. Have a consultation with your dentist before you decide.
