Os the IPR procedure safe for dentists to do?

Q. I have been reading up on the IPR procedure that some patients need when having invisalign and am unsure if it is all that safe. the idea of getting part of my healthy teeth taken away does not sound all that good to me, but then i read that this can happen anyway as a natural process due to the way the teeth are positioned together when in line? What is your opinion on this procedure and is it safe?
A. The procedure is safe and has been used in orthodontics for many decades. Research shows that IPR does not cause damage to teeth and is widely used in a lot of different types of orthodontic treatments
