My bottom set of aligners don’t seem to fit properly, what should I do?

November 28th, 2011
Q.

Hello, I’m currently on my second tray of invisalign. I wore the first set for four weeks, but the top tray didn’t fit on my front teeth after the four weeks while the bottom fit fine. With the second set I got attachments. The bottom tray fits, but I’m having the same problem with the top tray. I’m supposed to wear this set for three weeks. Should I be worried that my top tray doesn’t fit? It’s just the four front teeth that don’t go all the way onto the tray and you can see the gap between the tray and the teeth.

If my aligner does not fit correctly can this be fixed in one appointment?

January 5th, 2011
Q.
Hi, I’ve just attempted to fit my second upper aligner and it is a perfect fit everywhere apart from the very back left where it hangs off the teeth quite badly. I’ve made an appt with my ortho for tomorrow and put aligner 1/14 back in for the time being. I can see by placing alingers 1 and 2 side by side on a flat surface that the general balance of the two are quite different, as if aligner two is somehow warped out of shape (aligner 1 fit perfectly). The best way I can desribe it is to say it’s the same as sometimes happens with a pair of glasses as the stems get bent out of shape over time and then the glasses don’t sit flat on a surface. My question in fact is whether this is something that can possibly be corrected by my ortho at the clinic tomorrow or if it will mean waiting for a replacement from California? I’m really hoping it won’t be the latter as this will of course delay the whole process significantly. Thanks very much for any feedback you can offer.,

Aligner felt tight at first but is loose after a few days. Is this normal?

October 7th, 2010
Q.
I am onto my third aligner and have a question. I have found that after the initial three days of wearing an aligner when it is quite tight and stiff they become relatively loose. Is this normal and just means they are doing there job?,
