What is common practice when invisalign ends?

Q. What is the common practice when invisalign is finished. Is it as with metal braces with a retainer given to stop teeth from moving back to original position. Are there any further appointments and what is this teeth whitening thing I hear you can get near the end of invislaign?
A. Hello,
First, the reatiner is given to the patient once the Invisalign treatment is finished to prevent any relapse. The removable retainer or  the last Invisalign aligner could be used for tooth whitening.
Secondly, after fixed braces either fixed retainer or removable retainer could be used to keep the teeth in position. Obviously, the fixed one cannot be used for bleaching.
Finally, regular review appointments are advised every six months with the dentist.
