What is intermediate invisalign treatment?

Q. Hi, I have seen 2 dentists regarding invisalign and I am interested in the treatment but have concerns about the cost. The 2 dentists I saw explained the cost factors differently and I wondered if you would be able to clear this up for me. The first I saw referred to express treatment (which is not suitable for me), intermediate and full. I thought he had said the intermediate was cheaper and would be appropriate if I needed less retainers to achieve the results desired rather than the full treatment (ie between an express and full).
However, the second dentist said this wasn’t correct and that an intermediate treatment just deals with the movement of the front six teeth and therefore, doesn’t achieve the same results as the full, which deals with all the teeth. Would you please let me know what internedite treatment means?
A. In my 5.8 years of experience most patients will need full orthodontic treatment. This way we can achieve optimum orthodontic movements and a great result.
Intermediate or express is a load of nonsense for anyone with crowding as this will involve trimming between your front teeth.
If you have crowding and need to create space then you are forcing the dentist to trim the enamel between the teeth.
The only patients suitable for intermediate or express are those where the front 6 teeth stick out and are spaced.
Go full and pay full price.
