Q. I just put in my ninth aligner but have noticed that it does not fir as uit should. It seems to place over my front teeth incorrectly so that it does not fit into place properly. My dentist told me to wear it for one extra week but it still doesn’t seem right. She has now said she is going to order another one and that I will need to get more attachments when I do. Why has this happened? I wear it for the recommended time.
A. sometimes there are not enough buttons on the teeth to hold the back teeth firm whilst the front teeth are being sorted out, in this instance the aligners slips off the teeth. More attachments means better retention. She will have to take new impressions and more attachments
