Why is second aligner more painful than first one?

Q. I am now onto my second aligner and have found it to be even more painful than the first one! Is this supposed to happen? Please tell me the next one is not going to be even more painful??

A. Oh dear, some people experience more pain than others, the first 6-8 weeks are sometime the worst do not worry it gets easier.
