I have been told I am borderline for Invisalign. Should I get a second opinion?

December 23rd, 2010
Q.
I’ve been for a consultation for invisalign and been told that I’m borderline – leaning towards it not being suitable. I’m confused as i have overcrowding and potentially 3 teeth needing to be extracted. My teeth are generally straight so i thought i would be suitable. Would you recommend getting a second opinion and / or what alternatives are they?,

My dentist said Invisalign could treat my overbite in six months. Is this true?

December 23rd, 2010
Q.
I suffer from an voerbite and the denitist I visited said to me Invisalign could fix this problem in as a little as six months. I don’t want to sound pessimistic but this sounds a bit too good to be true. Can you tell me if you have had such instances and whether they have bee successful.,

Is there any way Invisalign attachments can be placed on the back of the teeth?

December 23rd, 2010
Q.
I have an anterior open bite with about a 6mm opening and I understand that if I treat this with invisalign I will have to wear attachments on my front teeth and I am very self-conscious. Is there anyway these attachments can be placed on the back of the teeth and close the bite?,

December 16th, 2010
Q.
I am a 25 year old female and my teeth are misaligned and I have been looking to straighten my teeth for ages now. I have been advised Invisalign but I am unhappy because I have been told that I will need to remove my upper canine. Would you say this is necesary? Have you had any experience with this? How long would this take? One canine is fully grown but the other has the adult tooth brhind a baby tooth.,

I grind my teeth at night so would this mean that I am not suitable for Invisalign?

December 16th, 2010
Q.
Hello. I wear a night guard at the present time for a condition where I grind my teeth when sleeping. I have had this since it began over two years, when I started a new job. Stress has been deemed the likely cause. But now I am having a look at these Invisalign aligners and am thinking they would be a good solution to my problem with teeth that are crooked to a very small degree, but a noticeable degree for me. Can you tell me what implications this would have on me wearing a night guard? Would I not be suitable. Hope to hear from you soon to my email.,
