Q. Hi I am on aligner 14 out of 19 for the bottom teeth and 14 of 35 for the top ones as my front top teeth overlap and stick out. However the bottom ones are pretty much straight now and i only have 5 more aligners left for the bottom but the top front teeth are still the same. My orthodontist says that these will move at a later stage as im only on 14 ou of 35 am i getting worried for no reason? I mean im pretty sure they will move once everything else has moved in place its just i cant tell as yet. Thank you in advance for your reply.
A. As long as your aligners are fitting well the treatment is working, often the back teeth need to be moved first before the front teeth can straighten. The bit you want most, the front teeth looking better will happen in the last 10 aligners. Do not worry.
