Are there any side effects to teeth stripping?

Q. Are there any possible side effects to the teeth stripping procedure that some dentist do to make room for teeth to move? My dentist has said I need it but I don’t want it. If one dentist says this will every other one as it is basically the same treatment process for all I guess?

A. There has been research done on enamel stripping and this has shown it to be safe, with no side effects, therefore it does not cause decay or sensitivity.
