Q. Hello Dr Akere. I have just started treatment with a fixed appliance but am seriously regretting this decision. I am hoping to switch to invisalign, and was wondering if this is ever possible? The only problem I can forsee is that I have already had some teeth extracted, but I hope I cans till go ahead with invisalign.
A.
You can still have invisalign with extracted teeth depending on the severity of your case.
Reasons for extraction in most cases is to create spaces to relieve crowding.
Consult with an experienced invisalign provider for advice.
