What is the shortest and longest amount of time treatment has been completed in?

August 18th, 2011
Q.

hello

I am looking at lots of different braces to see which would be the best for me. I really like the sound of invisalign as i would preferably like a brace that no one else could see, which is obviously one of inivsaligns main selling points. I just wondered about the time scale though. Could you please tell me the longest someone has had to wear the invisalign brace with you and the shortest time? My orthodontic condition mainly affects my front teeth which are a little twisted

thanks for your time

I have a wedding in four months. Can Invisalign be of assistance?

June 6th, 2011
Q.

hello doctor, i have a problem to put before you.   i have a wedding in 4 months and was wondering what is the minimum and maximum time frame for a completed invisalign treatment? My teeth aren’t as bad as some peoples and it is mainly that my front two teeth are crossed over what would be the usual time to treat a problem such as this? I know that you would have to see me first before you could definitely tell but what is your general experience of a case like this?
thank you very much for your time

I injured my tooth just before I was to begin Invisalign. Could I still go ahead with it?

June 6th, 2011
Q.

hello there doctor,

i wonder if you can tell me if I am ok to begin invisalign treatment. I was planning to go ahead with it when a few weeks ago I had a fall and impacted one of my front teeth. I had this thoroughly checked out by my dentist, who x-rayed the area to make sure there was no deep damage. He found this to be negative and said my tooth was fine and apart from the odd twinge here and there the tooth feels fine and I have been eating upon it. Do you think I could go ahead with Invisalign in this point in time? I am quite eager to get started towards a better smile but obviously do not want to compromise my overall oral health. What is your opinion doctor? I have booked an appointment with my other doctor just to make sure but the more advice the better in my opinion. Thank you very much for your time.

I would like braces that don’t show to fix my overbite. Would Invisalign work?

June 2nd, 2011
Q.

Good Morning to you Dr Vasileia- I was wondering with the invisalign treatment if with a overbite and a two adult teeth missing if i can use this treatment still. I unfortunatly had appointments with my local dentist but who is now saying he cannot do braces at the back of my teeth becasue of my overbite- which has upset me because i would like something that doesnt show but also sorts my teeth out. Would you please be able to tell me your opinion on this matter?  Thank you

What is the average number of Invisalign trays each patient wears?

June 1st, 2011
Q.

Hello Dr Patel. If you can can you please inform me of the number of trays that usually need to be worn by an Invisalign patients? I have a row of crooked, twisted teeth and two buck front teeth so i would class my current condition as quite severe. So from that basis can you tell me how many trays you think would be required?  I ask because when I am looking around I see a number of different prices for the treatment ranging from 2500 to 3500 and, whether I am correct or not in thinking so, I suspect that the number of trays available may differ according to the price.
any help you could give would be great
thanks

Is sensitive treatment as a result of Invisalign and something to worry about?

May 31st, 2011
Q.

Hi Doctor

i have recently started my Invisalign treatment and am around 2 months in but my teeth are still sensitive from time to is the normal. I worry a little bit more than most because i have been told that I have short roots and could suffer from root absorption and the general sensitivity is coming from the tops of my teeth. I have booked an appointment to see my dentist but in the meantime would like some extra advice to make a considered decision. In your estimation doctor, think it wise to stop treatment completely?

thank you for your time

My dentist warned my about root resorption. Would this prevent me from having Invisalign?

May 31st, 2011
Q.

hello Doctor, hope the day finds you well,

I have been thinking of getting invisalign for a long time and have recently been able to gather the funds to so. I went to my regular dentist to have a checkup and told him that I was thinking of having Invisalign, and he made the comment that my roots may be too short for the treatment and something about root resorption. I know you won’t be able to tell completely without seeing me in person but could you explain this condition and the ramifications if i start Invisalign treatment.

thank you for your time and any help would be greatly appreciated

Are my bleeding gums caused by Invisalign? My oral health is good. What is the problem?

May 23rd, 2011
Q.

Hello Doctor Kumar,

my Invisalign question is concerned with bleeding gums, which I have been getting quite often after the starting of my invisalign treatment. I am usually very thorough with my cleaning, brushing, flossing and using mouthwash and i also take great care to wash my brace when need be so I don’t think my hygiene is the problem in this case. Could you therefore please suggest any reason for why this would be happening?  have an appointment booked for my dentist but would like a small piece of mind in the meantime.

Thank you for your time and I hope you can assist.

How durable are Invisalign aligners. Could they withstand teeth grinding?

May 23rd, 2011
Q.

hello doctor,

i was wondering about the durability of Invisalign as I am quite bad when it comes to grinding my teeth. I mainly do it during the night but have been known to have daytime sessions when I am especially stressed. Do you also have any advice to help me with my grinding as it has plagued me for most of my life and my partner finds it more than a little bit annoying.

Thank you very much for your time doctor
