Is it normal not to feel pain when wearing new aligner?

November 5th, 2009
Q.
I know invisalign aligners are supposed to be less painful and tight than fixed braces but i just got my second aligner in and have not felt any kind of movement or any sign that there is movement going on. I have gaps between my teeth that need closing and there should surely be some kind of discomfort during the first couple of days after putting them on?

What is the invisalign system?

November 5th, 2009
Q.
I have wanted to get my teeth straightened for quite some times now but as with most I have been put off my the mere fact that I don’t want to be wearing braces for a year or so. But now I have come across the invisalign system and I am just wondering how different this is from the normal braces? Are they not just like the metal braces in how they straighten teeth, with similar treatment times?

My teeth are straight and the only problem I have is that there is a gap between my front teeth. It looks horrible when I smile so I want to get invisalign to sort this out. Is invislaign able to do this? If they are can you please give a general guideline as to how long treatment may take?

Is invisalign able to treat a 5mm teeth gap?

October 21st, 2009
Q.
I have a horrible 5 mm gap at the front of my teeth. It has been the vain of my existence as far as I am concerned. I would like to get this sorted, and was wondering if invisalign is able to close gaps at the front of the teeth? Or, if not, are there any other options?
