Is it normal for invisalign to cause dry mouth?

Q. I only got invisalign last friday but have sufferred endlessly from dry mouth and lips. I have therefore had to drink copious amounts of water to try and get rid of the problem. Is this something that is likely to sort itself out soon?

A. Usually it is the other way and your mouth makes more saliva.

The reason why it is drying out is probably because you are breathign more through your mouth than through your nose. Try to be more consciously aware of this and the problem should get better.
