Q. What does the teeth shaving that is done to make space for teeth to move involve? Is it a safe process, absolutely necessary?
A.
The shaving between the teeth, also caller interproximal reduction, has been used for many years in orthodontics to create space in between teeth. There are no reports of this technique causing decay or sensitivity as long as the teeth are well looked after. Teeth shaving is not always necessary and it depends on the case
