Why are the gums around my wisdom teeth sore after getting invisalign?

Q. I am undergoing invisalign treatment and decided to keep my wisdom teeth in. The dentist said this was okay. But now, the gums around my wisdom tooth get slightly inflammed, and this makes it quite painful to put my aligners in. Could there be a problem, or is it just my gums getting used to the aligners?
A. It can be just a short term problem, if it does not go away your aligners can be cut away from your wisdom teeth.
