Q.
My dentist office recently recommended Invisalign as a treatment to straighten my slightly misaligned teeth. They told me that with this treatment it will stop my clenching once my teeth are aligned. Is this true or would it be best to just keep using dental guards when I sleep? My teeth have only a slight misalignment that most people wouldn’t even notice.

Hi there. Invisalign would move your teeth closer together, protecting them from clenching as the aligners are covering your teeth. However you may still clench your teeth after the treatment so you would still need a dental guard in this case. Thank you for your question.
