The inman aligner is causing pain on my gums

August 26th, 2009
Q.
Hi Dr, I have had the inman aligner on my bottom teeth for 4 weeks and the pain is getting worse. The plastic which rests on the gum has caused a deep indentation on one side and this is where the majority of the pain is coming from. Is this normal ? Thanks, Kye

My teeth seem to be straight but i have an overbite

August 24th, 2009
Q.
My teeth seem to be straight but i have an overbite. I can fit my little finger through the gap so i would say its not minor. One of my front teeth has been chipped when i was younger so i have to have that filled. I want to have a better bite an teeth that dont stick out! What do you think would be the best treatment for this overbite an on average how costly would the treatment be?… thanks..

I have very slight relapse will invisalign work?

August 24th, 2009
Q.
Hi Dr Solanki I have very slight relapse of my front teeth following orthodontic treatment when i was younger. My 2 front teeth used to be perfectly in line, they have now shifted slightly (probably less than 2mm). Is there a way of using invisalign to correct this. Also would it cost less as the discrepancy is so minor. Would seem excessive to pay thousands to correct this but it is something that bothers me. Many thanks

what will invisalign cost for a gap in my front teeth

August 23rd, 2009
Q.
Hello Raj, I’m now 18 years old, and I wore braces for over 2 years (close to 3 I believe) and then a retainer for about 6-7 months. My teeth were lovely, I stopped wearing my retainer. Anyway, about a year down the line now, and I have a gap between my front two teeth, and also a gap between the one next to it. I can still push my teeth back together with a tiny non-visible gap. I can still put my top retainer on .. but even if I wear it for a few days .. my teeth go back to their old ways pretty quickly if I stop. What should I be doing? I don’t want to wear visible braces again.. I went through that for too long last time, and I’ll be starting university in just over a month. Would invisalign help me? What sort of timeframe and cost would I be looking at to sort my problem out in your opinion? Thank you for any help you give me

Do inman aligners only push teeth out

August 23rd, 2009
Q.
i read on your ask the expert site that inman aligners are only good for pushing teeth out does this mean that my two teeth that come out more then the other teeth will not be pushed back in line with the straight teeth and that instead the straight teeth will be pushed out to meet the crooked ones instead thank you.
