Is it too old when in your 50’s to get invisalign?

Q.
When I was younger I should have had braces to get my teeth straightened, but I was never told to do so by my dentist. Well, now I am in to my ripe old 50’s and am adamant that I want to get my teeth corrected. Is invisalign a good choice, or am I best going with another treatment considering my age?

Are invisalign braces removable?

How important are attachments in invisalign treatment?

I rang my dentist yesterday to inform him that one of my attachments had fallen out. He said this was no problem and that he would put in another one on my next visit to the dentist. This leads me to my question. What is the point in attachments then, if it doesn’t even matter if they fall out?
