Is wisdom teeth extraction for Invisalign safe?

Q. I am going to be getting my wisdom teeth removed to free up space for invisalign and to stop the buggers from further messing up my teeth. However, I am getting more worried about the procedure the closer it gets. Could there be any complications? How long after can I get moulds for invisalign and get treatment going?

A. Wisdom teeth extractions may have complications and your dentist will inform you of those prior you have the teeth taken out. Invisalign impressions have to be taken once some gum healing has occurred and it may be few weeks after the extractions
