Q. I am undecided between invisalign and veneers. I am siding toward veneers just because the treatment can be completed so quickly and there would be no need to wear braces for so long. Yet, I was hoping you could tell me some of the benefits and negatives of both treatments, specifically how how long the veneers actually last as this could really sway my decision.
A. Orthodontics is a very conservative way of improving the appearance of teeth. If combined with tooth whitening at the end of the treatment, the results can be amazing.
The advantages of veneers are that the treatment can be completed quickly and that it can mask severely discoloured or mishapen teeth. The disadvantages are that will require shaving down tooth structure and that the lifespan of veneers is around 10-15 years and therefore they will require replacing a few times in your lifetime.
Best of Luck
