I’ve Been Wearing Invisalign Aligners For Two Years But My Treatment Has Been Unsuccessful. Why Is This?

June 9th, 2014
Q.

Hi. I am angry because when I initially began Invisalign treatment, I was told it would take 6 months and 2 and a half years later I’ve had 4 sets of refinements, my teeth still have gaps in between them, and my bottom teeth still cross over each other. As I’m sure you can appreciate, I’ve spend a lot of money. But now my dentist wants to try veneers and to be honest I’ve spent enough money, I expect my natural teeth to be straight now. Can you offer me any advice? Thanks.

Can Invisalign Express Treat Just One Tooth?

June 6th, 2014
Q.

I have one tooth on the top which, due to not enough space, has raised and is now growing further out than the rest – basically I think it just needs to be pushed back. Is this possible with Invisalign Express and if so, how long approximately would it take? The problem is just one tooth as the rest of my teeth both upper and lower and quite straight.

What Is The Fastest Solution For Straightening My Teeth?

April 24th, 2014
Q.

Hi Dr. Akere. I had braces around 3 years ago and my teeth were straight afterwards, but then my retainer broke and I didn’t get it sorted, and now my teeth have moved back. I want my teeth to be straight again as soon as possible, will Invisalign be the best solution for me? Thanks!

My dentist said Invisalign could treat my overbite in 6 months. Too good to be true?

March 1st, 2011
Q.
Fomr what my dentist has said it appears tat invisalign will only take around 6 months to fix my problem. Is this too good to be true? Overbite is my problem and my bottom teeth push on my top teeth which can be painful. dentist says no extractions but can you tell me if this sounds about right?,

Is it possible to have the attachments on the back of the teeth? Or can I have no attachments and just increase treatment time?

November 23rd, 2010
Q.
Hi Yesterday I had my first aligners fitted and i have attachments on the top and bottom. I thought the entire point of Invisalign was that they fitted close against the teeth and were invisble? My attachments are so obvious that i am horrified with the end result and i am considering giving up on the whole thing – howvever im not even sure this is an option as my dentist has had to shave between my teeth so now i have noticable gaps. I am so disappointed with Invisalign – no where on the website does it mention attachments – whats worse is that looking on the internet it seems everyone has to have them so why is this not stated as standard???? the main questions i want to ask are whether there are any alternatives? for example, can i have the attachments on the back of the teeth rather than the front? is it possible to have no attachments and just increase the period of wear instead? if i take the attachments off my teeth is there any way to remove the bump in the aligner? Please help – i am totally devastated! thanks ,
