Hello Dr Akere. Could you please tell me the usual treatment time for Invisalign when used for a cross-bite of the two front teeth? It is pretty severe so would you recommend Invisalign as the best treatment? I can pay up to £3000, would this be enough? Sorry for all the questions I just really want to be thorough! Hello, I wondered if you could just provide me with a small piece of advice please? I can’t handle pain very well at all. I am overly sensitive and it’s been a problem of mine for many years now. The doctors hated me when it came down to having injections or anything like that. My teeth are very misaligned and I’ve been after braces for years but worried about the amount of pain that they may incur. Can you please tell which braces you think are the most comfortable? Hi, I broke my Invisalign aligner, completely by accident of course! I took it out to brush my teeth and trod on it by mistake (it fell off my sink). Anyway, I went to my orthodontist straight away to ask for a new one. I thought he’d give me one free of charge, seeing as though I’m already paying a fortune for it! BUT he’s charging me for a new one and I have to wait a week for it! Surely this isn’t right? Do you think I should seek a second opinion about this? Thanks for your time.

Hello, Dr Solanki. I’m 17 and have one tooth that points more to the left. It’s my left canine tooth and it points outward to the left. It doesn’t actually cause any pain, it just looks very strange. In order to straighten it would I need braces? My teeth are otherwise very nice and straight. It’s just this one tooth that is a problem so would it seem pointless to use braces to straighten one tooth?

Great. I managed to chip my front tooth when playing football at the weekend. My aligner still fits but I am worried that this may in some way harm the treatment. Will it? When I visited my orthodontist for a consultation he did stress that my teeth needed a lot of straightening, I have suffered from a bad bite for many years. Anyway, after drawing up a treatment plan he still thought that Invisalign would help me. However, 3 months down the line and I’m not seeing ANY results. I feel like he’s just told me it will work to get money out of me. I don’t know what to do because surely I should have seen some differences by now! What do you think I should do?

Hi there. I didn’t realise how long I’d be wearing the aligners for. My orthodontist suggested that I’ll need around 18 months for the treatment to be completed! I was convinced he’d say 6 months at the most! Is this right? Does it usually take this long? Or is it just a way for him to charge me more? Please be honest with me. Thank you.
