How much can I buy the invisalign retainers for?

August 27th, 2010
Q.
How much can I buy the invisalign retainers for on average? My dentist is charging me £400 for 3 which I think is ridiculous and he did they they were included with the price but when the treatment ended he said he had to get them from a new technician or something!,

Can you tell me why invisalign causes a dry mouth?

August 25th, 2010
Q.
Hello, may seem like a silly question but can you tell me why invisalign can cause dry mouth? I would have thought there would be even more saliva but this does not seem to be the case with me. Is there any feasible explanation? Regards,,

Questions regarding my previous submission..

August 25th, 2010
Q.
Regarding my previous post. I did explain my dissatisfaction at these two teeth and explained that I thought new impressions would be taken and re sent to Invisalign for a refinement case. He told me that this would be a new case and that wasn\’t an option. He said we can do similar aligners which are made in this country. This is not how I understood the procedure to be. My understanding was that Invisalign saw it through til the end. Is this not the case? What should I do now? Many thanks again.,

Invisalign treatment has ended, but I would like refinements. What should I do?

August 24th, 2010
Q.
Hello I have now finished all of my aligners (8 on top and 10 on bottom) and it has been a pleasurable experience. However I am not quite happy with the positioning of one of my top front teeth and the one next to it. Am I correct in thinking more impressions should be taken and then re submitted to Invisalign to make a few more aligners to correct the problem… ie refinements. I have mentioned this to my specialist but am worried that I am being fobbed off somewhat. I have only had the treatment for 5 months which is not a very long time so I would have thought there is more movement possible. What should be done and what can I do? Any advice would be very much appreciated.,

Dentist says to remove teeth for Invisalign, but I would much rather keep them?

August 24th, 2010
Q.
I have two very awkward teeth that are causing me a lot of problems and my orthodontist has recommended that i have them removed if i want invisalign. I really don\’t want any surgery and the teeth will not grow back so i\’d have to have a bridge or something he said. Do i have any hope with invisalign? Have you had experience with a patient who had teeth that should have been removed but managed to fix them? Please reply, thank you!,

Would Invisalign be able to limit the time I would need to wear metal braces?

August 20th, 2010
Q.
Hi Dr Kumar, I was told years ago that I had a protruding lower jaw and was advised that to correct my bite and other problems which may develop I would need braces on my top teeth to straighten them and \’put them in their correct position\’, followed by surgery on my lower jaw. As I already feel very concious of my smile without metal braces, I have been looking into alternative ways to straighten my teeth and invisalign really appeals to me. I know that to have the surgery, I will need metal braces at some point, however if I can use invisalign to straighten my top teeth enough to be able to drastically reduce the time I have to wear the metal braces before surgery I will be very pleased. Essentially, what I am asking is: is this possible? Would I be able to use invisalign to straighten my top teeth while I have a protruding lower jaw? Also, are there finance options which allow me to make monthly payments? If so, what are the company which provides the services (so that I can do some research) and would I be able to pay the monthly payments for a while, then at some point just pay the rest off in one go? (I am saving for a holiday, so just to be on the safe side would like to pay a small amount a month for the invisalign then pay the whole thing off when I get back). Thanks for your time!,
