Can I Have Invisalign Treatment At The Same Time As Having Periodontal Treatment?

Hi, what is your opinion on receiving aligners at the same time as having treatment for gum disease? I want to surprise my family when I visit them in Australia in 6 months time. I’ve always had a misaligned smile with large gaps and I think this is why my gums are in such poor health. I’m already being treated for my gums and looking for a dentist who would be willing to supply me with a brace system at the same time. Do you know of any? I live in Shrewsbury. I Have Sensitive Teeth. Will Invisalign Irritate My Teeth And Gums?

Hello there Dr. Solanki. I do hope you can help me. I’m 26 years old and I have quite badly crooked teeth and I have wanted to do something about them for a long time. However, my teeth are very sensitive to most things, I’m afraid that the Invisalign treatment (which I would prefer as they are hardly noticeable) would irritate my gums and teeth. Do you think that it would affect my teeth, and what would you suggest is the best orthodontic route for someone with sensitive teeth?

Am I Cleaning My Invisalign Aligners Properly?

Hi Dr. Thorne. When using Invisalign, my teeth discolour slightly. This happens over the two weeks that I wear the aligners, despite my cleaning them as the orthodontist recommends (with washing up liquid). Is this normal, or should I be doing something different? Thank you.

Is Teeth-Shaving Safe?

My dentist has informed me that if I want to have Invisalign aligners, I will need to get some of my teeth shaved away. I am quite scared by the prospect as I have heard that it can cause sensitive teeth and damaged teeth. It it safe? Thanks.

What Is The Average Cost And Length For Invisalign Treatment?

Hi Dr Sepehrara. I have been wanting to correct my teeth for quite a while now but the only problem with me is the cost. I’m currently studying, and this year would be perfect for me to try and go through a treatment for my teeth. I have slight crowding with my top teeth and more crowding with the bottom teeth. Would you be able to tell me what the average cost and length would be for treatment with Invisalign braces? I am 20 so I do pay for my regular treatments.

What Is The Fastest Solution For Straightening My Teeth?

I Had Braces But My Wisdom Teeth Have Caused Them To Relapse. How Much Would It Cost To Fix The Top Set?

Hi Adam,

I was having a look through your website and was hoping you could make a recommendation for me. I had braces as a teenager, which left me with perfectly straight teeth. But due to my wisdom teeth coming through, this has pushed my molars forward and caused my front 4 teeth to squint. Is there a particular version of your product that could work best to straighten my teeth and also would you have an idea on cost? It would only be my upper set. Can I Drink Sparkling Water When Wearing Aligners?

Hi Dr Manoloutsou. I just got my first tray yesterday. I’m not usually a water drinker, I dislike the taste it leaves in my mouth. I usually drink flavoured sparkling water. The flavoured water I drink contains no sugar and no artificial colours. However, the ingredients do include citric acid, potassium citrate, and malic acid. Can I can drink? Still water is making me gag and it’s only day two. Thank you!
